Recruitment - Qualifications

In order to join the Lake Johanna Fire Department you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a valid MN Driver's license
• High School Diploma or GED
• You must live within 20 minutes of a LJFD Station:
• Station 2: 4676 Hodgson Rd., North Oaks
• Station 3: 5545 Lexington Ave. N., Shoreview
• Station 4: 3615 Victoria St., Shoreview

Training - Lake Johanna Fire Department offers free training to all firefighters. Probationary firefighters will be trained and certified in the following:

• Firefighter I
• Firefighter II
• Hazmat Operations
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
